[Speech] Overcoming Racism and Prejudice in Korea through Cultural Exchange.

조인어스코리아는 다문화 및 언어/지식, 문화 교류에 관심 있는 내,외국인들을 위한 모임 행사를 주최하였으며,  본 영상은  한국인들의 다문화 인식 개선에 앞장서는 국제 학교 소속 학생 회원의 연설을 담았습니다. 🥰

The speaker describes the diversity and excitement of Seoul's busy streets, but notes that South Korea is a homogenous country with pervasive xenophobia and racial discrimination. To address this problem, he suggests more active cultural interactions with non-ethnic Koreans, such as hosting events to teach Korean culture and providing free Korean lessons. Creating a welcoming society could lead to positive ramifications such as an increase in tourism and immigration, which could help address the population crisis. It's time for Korea to address its reputation for racism and xenophobia by developing programs that increase interaction between the two populations.
